If you own a building and are interested in participating in the upcoming Ottawa County Arts Festival, please fill out the form to provide us with details about your location.

Are you interested in being a muralist at our next event? Submit your application below!

The Arts & Humanities Council puts on at least one festival event each year that has live painting/mural art being done. If you are interested in applying to be a public artist, please fill out this form.

A committee appointed by the Arts and Humanities Council will select the artists to participate. Artists will provide their own brushes, step ladders, and other supplies, and may have access to paint donated by local businesses, groups, and individuals.

Small Grant Details:

  • The maximum award granted through this program is $500.
  • Applications should be received at least ninety days in advance of the programming to which they would be applied.
  • Applications are reviewed by committee. If appropriate for consideration, the committee will present the application at a regular meeting of the Ottawa County Arts & Humanities Council Board of Directors, which is held on the second Thursday of each month.
  • First preference for awarding grants is to support programming in Ottawa County, Oklahoma, with second preference given to programming in other areas surrounding Ottawa County, Oklahoma.
  • Eligible projects must support the council’s mission.
  • Grant recipients are to acknowledge the Ottawa County Arts & Humanities Council on all publicity for the programming at which grant funding will be used and are asked to send copies of publicity and pictures of the event in progress to Ottawa County Arts and Humanities Council, P. O. Box 1311, Miami, OK 74355 or email the Council at miamiokarts.com

Scholarship Applications

Currently, scholarships are available for Ottawa County, Oklahoma residents or students attending school in Ottawa County.

Application Dates: January 1 – April 19
Scholarship Amount: $500

Lee Dell Mustain “That’s Art!” High School Senior Scholarship – for a high school senior who is planning to attend college. This student must be active in an arts program at his or her current school.

College students may apply for one of three scholarships depending on their primary arts focus.

Charles Banks Wilson Visual Arts Scholarship – for students studying original pictorial, graphic, and sculptural works, which include two-dimensional and three-dimensional works of fine, graphic, and applied art.

Willie and Jane Osborn Music Scholarship – for students studying musical theory, composition, instrumental, vocal, or other music focused arts programs.

Ron Whaley Humanities Scholarship – for students studying theater, drama, literature, poetry, architecture, fashion, design, and film.
